Kevin Dasom, the Thai winner of the recent Manhunt International: Male Supermodel contest, is paying it forward by mentoring male pageant contestants.

He is in Manila to explore job opportunities in the modeling and entertainment industry when he got to face the Mister Cosmopolitan candidates under the Los Angeles-based The Authority Productions (TAP) of Filipino director Joselli Rojas.

Rojas took Dasom under his wings after the contest, and has been handling the Thai model’s career. He also tapped the winner to mentor his current crop of bets.

“To succeed you have to be crazy, because winning is a crazy idea. There’s only one winner, only one title, and it goes to one person. You have to be crazy to have the idea that ‘I could be that person. I wanna be that person,'” Dasom told journalists and content creators at a recent gathering in Makati City.

He showed up when Rojas presented his candidates for the 2024 Mister Cosmopolitan contest — Patryky Henrique from Brazil, Agostino Bianco from Italy and Kylian Museux from France.

“A lot of people are gonna say, ‘You can’t do that. This man’s taller, this man’s more handsome, this man has better abs than you.’ You have to be willing to not listen to these people, and listen to the people that trust in you, the ability, the ‘it factor’ in you, and who want to bring that out. And that’s a crazy idea,” Dasom said.

Rojas is attempting to score a second consecutive win in the Mister Cosmopolitan contest’s sophomore edition. Reigning king Blake Johnston from the United States was fielded by TAP in last year’s competition.

Bianco expressed his gratitude to Rojas for believing in him. “I will reward him in the best way possible,” he said. Museux, for his part, said, “For me Joselli is the best. I believe in me, and big change for me to represent my country. He’s the best.”

The pressure is greater for Henrique, because two of TAP’s three wins last year were posted by Brazilians–Man of the Year Dereck Gimenes and Great Man of the Universe Joao Emiliao.

“Joselli has experience in the modeling industry. He believed in me. He’s very charismatic and very funny. For me TAP is amazing, because of all of the awards,” Henrique said.

Dasom also revealed that it was because of Rojas that he was able to walk for the recent Paris Fashion Week. “I do trust in him. The smallest actions do speak louder than the greatest words,” he said of the Filipino director.

Henrique, Museux and Bianco will be competing in Dasom’s home country. The 2024 Mister Cosmopolitan final competition will be held in Korat tonight22bet, Oct. 26. The Philippines will be represented by Emerson Gomez, who is under the Mister Pilipinas Worldwide stable.
