Actress Pokwang expressed her frustration over losing a significant amount of money that she stored in a popular online money application, GCash.
Pokwang took to Instagram to reveal that she was one of the people whose funds had been stolen from her account in the digital payment app, lamenting about the SIM card policy recently mandated in the Philippines.

Ibat-ibang number na hindi naka rehistro halos nasa 30 numero na hindi naka rehistro!!! Ano nangyare sa registered sim policy ngayon?” she captioned her post alongside screenshots of the money amounts that were stolen from her account.

Hours after her post, Pokwang reposted the official statement from the mobile payments service that assured people that their accounts are safe and the incident was due to “errors in an ongoing reconciliation process.”
